Toyota Racing

TOYOTA RACING is a wholly owned subsidiary of TOYOTA Motor Corporation, established in Cologne, Germany, with a simulation branch in the UK, and premises in Italy.

The Cologne facility is home to TOYOTA RACING’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) team and birthplace of the GR YARIS Rally1 engine which competes in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). It is also a TOYOTA Technical Centre and supports TOYOTA GAZOO Racing’s customer racing activities by developing the GR Supra GT4 car, and the engine for the GR YARIS Rally2.

in the WRC

WRC(FIA世界ラリー選手権)は、多様な地形とコンディションが混在する独特の舞台であり、世界の「道」を学ぶために最適な場です。TOYOTAはラリーの舞台で長く輝かしい歴史を持ち、現在は最も多くのWRC勝利の記録を保持しています。 TOYOTA RACINGは、GR YARIS Rally1を駆動する1.6L直列4気筒直噴ターボ・エンジン の開発・製造を通じて、チャンピオンチームであるTOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Teamを支援しています。

TOYOTA RACINGはTOYOTA GAZOO RacingのCustomer Racingプロジェクトを支援する上で中心的な役割を果たしており、プライベートチームがメーカーの専門知識で最高レベルの競争を行えるように支援しています。これにはWECでLexus RC F GT3を走らせるAkkodis ASPへの技術的・運用面での支援も含まれています。また、TOYOTA RACINGはGR Supra GT4 EVO2の開発・製造と、GR Yaris Rally2車のエンジン製造も行っています。

TOYOTA RACING is committed to developing sustainable solutions for its on-site operations, as well as demonstrating technology to promote sustainability in motorsports.

Guided by the TOYOTA Environmental Challenge 2050, TOYOTA RACING has an action plan to contribute to this challenge.
The Cologne facility is accelerating towards this goal through updated infrastructure – such as a new central cooling facility, hydrogen engine test beds and planned solar panel installation – alongside strengthened programmes for sustainable operations.

From design through to development, testing and production, TOYOTA RACING contributes to the future on the road and on track, for TOYOTA and beyond. Advanced development tools include two wind tunnels, driving simulators, and detailed test rigs to analyse everything from engines and full chassis to individual components, while precision production technology brings a design to reality in a range of materials.
